So I’ve been on a huge learning curve recently, which has been fun, actually, I will admit! I love to learn! What have I been learning? I’m a cake maker by trade, but over the years, I’ve accumulated a HUGE amount of knowledge which I would like to pass on to other people, be that other home business owners, hobby bakers wishing to learn new skills, or total baking novices looking for some good old fashioned recipes to bake with their children.
Everyone has a starting point with their baking journey, for me it was as a child with time spent in the kitchen with my mum (or various relatives) brings warm memories of kitchens filled with the scent of freshly baked bread or cakes and the taste of them afterwards. If I can teach one mum or dad how to bake simple recipes with their child, I know that is one child who is making the same memories as me and I also have the satisfaction of knowing they’ve learned a new skill which will stay with them through life. As a cake maker who has made hundreds and hundreds of cakes over the last ten years, I still maintain that the birthday cake that the child will remember will be the one made with love by a parent, or the one they made together, not the one I was paid to make for them.
So, I’ve been learning how to pass on the information I have in my head! First up is a new recipe book!
